Vaccination services

The vaccines and boosters included in the national vaccination programme are administered by nurses at your local health centre. The vaccination of children and adolescents is coordinated through child health clinics and schools, with the exception of influenza and coronavirus vaccinations.

Your local health centre also provides advice and information on travel vaccines and TBE-vaccines and the prescriptions needed to get them. These vaccines you will need to purchase from a pharmacy yourself. You will not be charged for the administration of the vaccine or for any advice provided.

How does it work?

You can get the vaccinations below from the vaccination services.

  • Influenza vaccinations (October-December) and corona vaccinations (September-December): Call the influenza and corona vaccinations helpline in the schedule according to your own group.
  • Pneumococcal vaccination for those in the risk group: Call the vaccination services helpline
  • TBE vaccination at own expense: Call the vaccination services helpline
  • Traveler vaccinations and malaria prevention: Call the vaccination services helpline

For other vaccinations, call your care team. Regarding vaccinations for children and young people (other than Corona, influenza, TBE and travel vaccines), contact your child health clinic or school nurse.
