Emergency social services

Our team of emergency social services professionals are trained to assess the urgency of your situation and to quickly give you the help and support that you need. The service is equipped to deal with all kinds of emergencies and crises that require intervention by social services. If you believe that someone’s life or health could be in danger, always call 112.

Emergency social services can help with, for example, the following kinds of situations:

you are worried about the safety and wellbeing of a child or an adolescent
you believe that child welfare services should intervene
you believe that someone needs urgent care
you are worried about how another adult or an elderly person is coping on their own at home
you have concerns related to abuse, domestic violence or intimate partner violence
you are struggling with substance abuse or mental health issues
Our emergency social services team works in close cooperation with emergency health care services, rescue services, the police, the Emergency Response Centre and other authorities.

How does it work?

Please call us if you need immediate or urgent help or support from social services. If you know or suspect that someone’s life, health or property could be in danger or that there is a risk to the natural environment, always call 112.

Who is it for?

Anyone living or residing in Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Nurmijärvi, Mäntsälä, Pornainen or Tuusula in the wellbeing services county of Central Uusimaa who needs urgent help and support from social services can call this emergency number. If you believe that someone’s life or health could be in danger, call 112.
